Bring your Letterboxd.
No fuss.
The export is provided by Letterboxd. Mooview only reads the file in your browser.
Letterboxd already provides a complete export of your account. Download a ZIP, upload it here and review matches before saving. Nothing needs to be copied from a console.
What you will bring
- Watched films, with diary dates when available.
- Ratings and likes.
- Your watchlist.
- Reviews and diary text, kept for you to review.
- Additional CSV files from your export, when they match the Letterboxd format.
Step by step
- Sign in to your Letterboxd account in a browser.
- Open the official export page and request your account archive.
- Download the ZIP when it is ready. You do not need to unzip it.
- Open Mooview's import page and select the downloaded ZIP.
- Review the results. Mooview confirms safe matches and leaves uncertain cases for you to choose.
Before you start
The file is read in your browser. The original archive is not kept as a file in Mooview; when you confirm the import, we save only the data needed to build your library and diary.
Import now
After downloading the ZIP, go to the import page. It also accepts an individual Letterboxd CSV if you only want to bring over part of your account.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to upload every file in the ZIP?
No. The simplest option is to upload the full ZIP. Mooview reads compatible CSVs and ignores files that are not part of the import.
Can I upload a CSV instead of the ZIP?
Yes. A CSV with a Name column can be read. The full ZIP carries more information, including diary entries, reviews, ratings and likes.
Does Mooview save my reviews automatically?
Not without your confirmation. Matches stay on the review screen and enter your account only when you complete the import.
Why do some titles need my review?
Identical names, remakes and translated titles can have more than one possible match. Mooview shows the options so you can choose the right one.
Can I import again later?
Yes. Reimporting is safe: titles already saved are recognized and your library should not gain duplicates.
Does Filmow work too?
Yes. Use the Filmow guide, which generates the file in your browser.
