Community rules
Last updated: September 27, 2026
Mooview is a place to keep and talk about what we watch. These rules keep the conversation good for everyone — including people who haven't seen the film yet.
Warn before spoilers
Revealed something important about the story? Mark it as a spoiler in your comment. This also applies to list names and descriptions.
Examples
- Giving away the ending, a death or a twist without marking it
- Putting the reveal in a list name
Disagree with the opinion, not the person
You can hate the film someone loves. You can't attack, humiliate, threaten or harass anyone, or use hate speech against any group.
Examples
- Insults and personal attacks
- Prejudice based on race, gender, orientation, religion, disability or origin
- Following someone around in comments
No spam
Comments and profiles are for conversation, not promotion.
Examples
- Ads, sales links or links to other services
- The same text posted on many titles
- Accounts made only to promote something
Keep it appropriate
Photos, banners, names, bios and lists are seen by everyone. No nudity, explicit sexual content, graphic violence or shocking images.
Examples
- Avatar or banner with nudity or gore
- Bio or list with explicit sexual content
Be yourself
Don't pretend to be someone else, another user or the Mooview team. Fan profiles are welcome as long as it's clear they're fan profiles.
Examples
- Using someone else's name and photo as if you were them
- Pretending to be a moderator
Stay on topic
A title's comments are about that title. Unrelated conversation may be hidden.
Examples
- Discussions unrelated to the film or series
- Chain letters and random messages
How moderation works
- Every report is read by a person on the team. Nothing is removed automatically.
- The response is proportional: a warning, hiding or removing the content, muting (no commenting for 1, 3, 7 or 30 days), suspending the account for the same periods and, for serious or repeated cases, a ban.
- When something of yours is moderated, you get a notification saying what happened and which rule was broken.
- Banned accounts lose their profile, and their comments stay in the conversation as “Anonymous user”.
How to report
Use the “Report” button on the comment, profile or list. Pick a reason and, if you want, tell us what happened. The person reported never learns who reported them.
Think we got it wrong?
The team can make mistakes. If you disagree with a decision, write to us through Contact us explaining what happened — we'll review it.
